Alice Priory is a British figurative painter based in Kent, UK. She is currently studying Contemporary Portraiture at the Art Academy London on the Miriam Waterman Scholarship.
Her work explores connection, self-awareness, and the dynamic of looking and being looked at. Through images of women in dreamlike, ambiguous spaces, she considers how our sense of self is shaped through relationships, social expectations, and an awareness of others. Her figures often hold a subtle tension in their bodies, as if conscious of an unseen audience.
Alice has exhibited in several group shows in London, including ‘In Plain Sight’ (2026) at Art Academy Bankside Gallery, ‘Reflections’ (2026) at The Gallery at The Playroom, and ‘Will We Be Taken into the Future?’ (2025) at Nolia’s Gallery.
